NEW Stranger Things x Dead By Daylight
Chapter 2 enters the Fog
The much anticipated release of Dead by Daylight’s newest update has finally come, the second collaboration with Stranger Things adds in 2 new survivors; show frontrunners Eleven and Dustin as well as a terrifying new killer, Vecna.
Vecna, The First

Henry Creel. 001. Vecna. The First. He goes by many names, but his goal remains the same: bend the world to his will and spread the corruption of the Upside Down.
As a killer, Vecna produces loads of area-of-effect (AOE) attacks. He is very effective at zoning survivors off of pathing to pallets or windows and punishing the use of them in his presence. His unique perks emphasise his ability to manipulate the world at will. Breaking gens on command remotely, turn totem cleansing against the survivor’s favour and a hex which gives him vital tracking information and a nasty final generator surprise.
Vine Attack

Holding down the Power Button, The First charges his Vine Attack. Once ready, a circle indicator appears on the floor directly where you are aiming. Casting the Power summons a small AOE that hits survivors. Survivors hit receive 1 token of Worldbreaker. When a survivor with 2 or more tokens is hit, The First Enters Worldbreaker mode- where the attack can then damage survivors.
The Upside Down

The First can return to the map and traverse the upside down. While traversing, he gains the Undetectable status and increased movement speed. Additionally, his character model disappears into the floor, only producing an ominous black miasma on the ground instead.
Undergate Attack

While in Traverse, The First gains access to his Undergate Attack. To return to the surface, this must be cast. After pressing the Attack button, Undergate Attack begins casting (note: this cannot be cancelled once you press Attack). During the cast, movement speed reduces drastically and a large circle indicator begins expanding out from your miasma. Once the cast is complete, you can no longer move and erupt from the centre of the circle into the map followed by a burst of vines.
Survivors hit gain 2 tokens of Worldbreaker. During Worldbreaker mode, this ability damages on top of stacking tokens similar to Vine Attack. Survivors who are at their 2nd hook stage & at maximum Worldbreaker tokens (4), if they are hit with either Undergate Attack or Vine Attack will be put into Mindbreak.
Mindbreaking a survivor will leave them frozen and floating off the ground for a while. Moving up to the survivor you can cast Mindbreak, which performs a fast Mori on them (think Sadako or Pyramid Heads special executions).
Turn Back the Clock

To really shatter the spirit, one must crush hope from every angle. Hook Survivors and damage Generators in one fell swoop, stalling their progress with a callous edge.
After hooking a Survivor, for 40/50/60 seconds, press Ability button 1 to make target generator within 20 meters explode, lose 10% progress and start regressing.
This perk works well with any generator information and / or slowdown perks. An incredible pressure perk for killer players who like to apply it, you can save a lot of time by remotely breaking a gen while continuing your hunt for survivors.
Secret Project

Survivors may be enticed to engage with Totems, believing it to further their goal. As always, they are misguided. Their efforts will only fuel their demise.
When a totem is blessed or cleansed, block a random unblocked generator for 20/25/30 seconds.
When 1 or more generators become blocked, you gain Undetectable for 30 seconds.
Coupled with either a hex build or perks such as Dead Man’s Switch or Corrupt Intervention. Corrupt Intervention + Secret Project means you start the game with Undetectable- throw in Lethal Pursuer and you can immediately sneak up on survivors, complete unaware of your approach.
Hex: Hive Mind

Let them believe there is a chance. Their success will only breed their failure. Soon they will watch all their progress regress before their very eyes.
The first time you hook any Survivor, a Dull Totem becomes a Hex Totem.
Generators are highlighted; the intensity of generator auras reveals their repair progress.
When 1 generator remains, all remaining generators explode, lose 6/8/10% progress and start regressing, and the Hex Totem becomes dull.
While this perk is fairly weak in comparison to other Hex perks, it can be situationally quite powerful. Delaying gen rushing for the final generator by only a small margin, where it can prove powerful is if you have a strong 3-gen (the final 3 generators are grouped close together). This is because not only does it save you time breaking any of the generators, but the immediate regression will apply some heavy pressure. However, as stated, this is very situational.
Eleven

As a survivor, Eleven’s perks mostly hinge on her abilities as a psychic. Able to read the auras of the map while focusing, expose the killer aura to her entire team and suppress the noise made by allies while cooperating on generators.
Extrasensory Perception
Remain calm and focus- observe your surroundings. Before long, it will be like you were never there.
After crouching for 4 seconds, you see auras in an expanding radius up to 44 meters, and gain the (new) Elusive and Oblivious status effect.
When you stop crouching or after 11 seconds, this perk enters a 60/50/40 second cooldown.
Elusive is a new effect to Dead By Daylight. It is incredibly powerful. It removes all grunts of pain while injured, removes scratch marks and pools of blood as well as protects you from aura-reading killer perks & powers. This perk will be very strong for players that utilise stealth. Couple it with Urban Evasion, and you can comfortably cruise around the map crouched in full knowledge that you are practically impossible to locate unless by visual contact.
We See You
You know when you’re being watched, and you can use that to your advantage. Killer trying to gain an advantage? Two can play at that game.
When the Killer reveals your aura, gain 1 token.
When you have 4 tokens, spend all tokens and you and other Survivors see the Killer’s aura for 10/12.5/15 seconds.
This perk has a 10-second cooldown.
This perk is a very strong support perk. Not only do you know when the killer has revealed you, but you can (if you’re premade with other survivors) call out when this has happened. It also allows you to identify situational aura-reads from the killer. Perks like I’m All Ears or No Where to Hide can be made out by you- and this is a pretty extreme advantage.
Imagine a scenario where you’re revealed at game start by Lethal Pursuer. That’s 1 token. Fast vault a window and gain a second token from I’m All Ears. Once that’s the case, you only have to farm tokens by fast vaulting another 2 times in 20 seconds (accounting for the cooldown) and then you can, at will, reveal the Killer periodically to you entire team… Provided you work up the 4 tokens again.
Teamwork: Soft-Spoken
When you set your mind to a task, your infectious focus spreads to those around you. It’s almost as if the sounds of the world, even the loudest generator, are silenced.
For each other Survivor repairing a generator with you, the range at which generator repair noise is heard is reduced by 15/20/25%.
While repairing with at least 1 other Survivor, you repair 5% faster.
This perk is a somewhat decent Teamwork perk, although not the best. On the basis that efficiency is key to strategically winning games, having maximum value from this perk (all survivors on the same gen) is probably more counter-productive than it is real value. Of course, stealth fixing a gen is an incredible premise, but given 4-man generators are rare (sometimes not spawning at all on certain maps) in practice you’ll probably rarely see this perk being used- just like the other Teamwork perks. The 5% repair speed is pretty neat though.
Dustin Henderson

As a survivor, Mr Henderson is an imaginative leader. Using his wit and quick thinking to change bad situations into half-decent, workable ones. His perks allow him to trap windows, convert toolboxes into med-kits and provide a better chance for teammates to succeed skill checks.
Bada Bada Boom
Stay focused on the quest and don’t forget to plan ahead. You may not be a fighter, but you can at least slow them down.
After completing 20% worth of repairs, press Ability button 1 next to a window to trap it for 40/50/60 seconds.
The trap triggers when the Killer performs a vault on the window, inflicting them with 50% Hindered for 6 seconds.
Another Chemical Trap but for windows! While this perk is less useful than the actual Chemical Trap, it serves as a powerful deterrent forcing killers to take a perhaps less than optimal path to catch-up. The reason it’s less useful, is because it requires forethought. Dropping a pallet then placing a Chem Trap on it is easy- they’re maybe in a stun and you can’t be hit over the pallet by basic attacks. This is not the case for windows. Fast vaulting and turning around to place a trap will most likely result in you being slapped over the window. Therefore, this perk requires forethought and placement that compliments strong pathing. If windows are too powerful for the killer NOT to vault, then this perk is gold. If they aren’t (which is a lot of windows), then this is mediocre at best. Saying that, I will be using this myself- I am a big fan of Chem Trap.
Change of Plan
Sometimes you roll a 1 and the plan falls apart. Adaptability is crucial, especially when you have a trusted tool handy. When things get dicey, swallow your pride and hide.
You start with 2 tokens.
While inside a locker and holding a non-event Toolbox, press Ability button 2 to spend 1 token and transform your Toolbox into a Med-kit of the same rarity with a random add-on of the same rarity.
The new Med-kit has 80/90/100% of its charges.
This is a pretty meh perk. In my opinion, it will be extremely situational. It beats looting a chest in hopes that you get a med-kit, but giving a perk slot up for an item conversion seems fairly weak to me. It doesn’t synergise with other perks either, so there aren’t many builds that can make good use out of this. If you’re grinding out missions on Tomes, then this will be especially useful for ‘Deplete Med-kit’ missions- it will also prove useful if you come across a toolbox and need an emergency heal late game (but just find your teammates, it will be faster altogether).
Teamwork: Full Circuit
A good party sticking together, that’s what really increases the chances for success.
For each other Survivor repairing a generator with you, the size of the Good Skill Check zone is increased by 15/20/25%.
While repairing with at least 1 other Survivor, you repair 5% faster.
This perk is the worst from the new update. Easily the worst Teamwork perk in my opinion. Skill checks are not hard to hit. Great skill checks for new players, sure. For veterans, this perk is nothing but useless. If you’re playing with a friend who had never played the game before, then this is a good excuse to run this perk. The 5% speed, just like Eleven’s perk, is neat- but doesn’t justify bringing this perk just for that.
You can play the new Dead By Daylight update now! These characters are apart of a DLC premium, so you will have to spend a small bit of money to attain the DLC.
