Call of Duty: Warzone Rolls Out Major Balance Patch and Pop Culture Crossover

The latest Warzone update introduces major balancing changes to several key weapons. The Kilo 141 now features increased bullet velocity, boosting its viability in mid to long-range encounters. Meanwhile, the Krig C receives a series of nerfs, including reduced damage multipliers for the lower torso, arms, and legs, as well as increased recoil and a smaller magazine size. The powerful DM-10 marksman rifle has also been adjusted, with lower damage values for non-critical shots, reduced bullet velocity, and slower ADS speed changes that aim to reward precision while limiting its previous dominance.

Bug Fixes and Technical Improvements

The July update addresses several long-standing technical issues. Players will no longer experience crashes when editing loadouts in the pre-match lobby, and a bug causing a blank interface during loadout creation has been fixed. The update also corrects an error in the Havoc mode respawn timer, restores missing unlock requirements for sprays, and resolves display issues affecting the Cranked modifier countdown.

New Limited-Time Mode and Map Enhancements

Warzone introduces Havoc Royale, a limited-time mode set in Verdansk that throws players into unpredictable chaos with randomized gameplay modifiers. Featuring 44 players in Quads, each match spans 15 minutes and includes rotating effects like Melon Heads, Cranked, and Charge Jump. The finale introduces special modifiers like Showdown and Rising Gas to further intensify endgame scenarios.

In addition, Verdansk’s moving train now includes a Buy Station and an onboard UAV Tower. However, to preserve competitive balance, the UAV Tower will remain disabled in Battle Royale Ranked mode.

Pop Culture Crossover Event Goes Live

Warzone players can also dive into the new Beavis & Butt-Head crossover event. By completing themed challenges in Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone, players can unlock exclusive rewards including the Olympia Special weapon and a Pickaxe melee weapon. This collaboration brings a dose of irreverent humor and fan service to the mid-season content lineup.

In a statement from the Warzone development team, the update was described as a step toward greater balance and variety. “We’re adjusting top-performing weapons like the Krig C and DM-10 to encourage more precision and weapon mastery. Meanwhile, the Kilo 141 gains consistency across engagements. With Havoc Royale and the Beavis & Butt-Head event, players can expect new, exciting ways to play.”
