Jagex today released version 0.8.2 for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the latest Early Access update that responds directly to player feedback and enhances game balance and quality. This update arrives ahead of the next major content drop in September.

Community‑Driven Improvements

Improved item pick‑up: Ground items now have a taller and more generous clickbox, making collection smoother and less fussy.

Interior protections: Structures such as caverns now better withstand dragon attacks, including Dragonbreath and Velgar meteors enhancing base safety.

Bug Fixes & General Quality Enhancements

Clock widget now correctly displays nighttime for new save files. Cooking combinations now work correctly, e.g. cabbage with dwellberries, and raw bird meat with potato.

UI/interaction fixes, including resolving issues that caused players to become stuck in a blocked position when equipping a bow. Stability improvements: fixed crashes when placing Tier‑2 palisade walls and resolved several terrain clipping and stuck‑state issues.

Context: Early Access Roadmap & Future Plans

Version 0.8.1 (July 8, 2025) introduced features such as game pause in solo mode, a cape rack buildable piece, a day/night widget, and usability enhancements. 

Major Content Coming Soon

The 0.8 update (June 2025) added the new Magic Skill, a Coziness mechanic, and a Hard difficulty setting. Based on the Early Access roadmap, the Ranged Skill is scheduled for September.

Jagex remains committed to a schedule of quarterly content releases during Early Access, supplemented by regular patches and hotfixes.

Forward-Looking Roadmap

September 2025 (v0.9): Launch of Ranged Skill and associated content.

December 2025 : Introduction of Farming Skill, steel gear, new region and quests, plus base enhancements.

2026 and beyond: Additional content updates including Fishing, Prayer Skill, Umbral Sands region, gear progression tiers, new vaults, and more leading toward a full Version 1.0 by late 2026

Update 0.8.2 is now live and accessible via Steam on PC. RuneScape: Dragonwilds remains in Early Access, with major content releases planned across 2025 and 2026.
