Udo Kier, the prolific German actor known for more than 200 film roles, has died at the age of 81.<\/p>\n

Many gamers will remember him best as Yuri, the psychic villain in the live-action cutscenes of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Yuri\u2019s Revenge.<\/p>\n

Kier was also set to appear in Hideo Kojima\u2019s upcoming horror game, OD. Unfortunately, production had been delayed due to a strike, and his scenes had not yet been filmed. Kojima expressed deep sorrow, saying he and Kier had stayed in touch by email and even met in Milan, where Kier shared his excitement about returning to work.<\/p>\n
