Niantic is set to launch an action-packed Ultra Unlock event in Pokémon GO, introducing the debut of Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia to the game. The  Pokémon GO special event will run from Friday, August 16, 2025 to Tuesday, August 20, 2025, giving Trainers around the world the opportunity to encounter these powerful Legendaries for the first time outside of special research.

ORIGIN FORME DIALGA & PALKIA MAKE THEIR DEBUT

As part of the Ultra Unlock: Temporal Forces event, Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia will be appearing in five-star raids. These rare forms bring with them unique moves Roar of Time for Dialga and Spacial Rend for Palkia offering distinct battle advantages and a visual transformation long anticipated by fans of the franchise.

NEW TEMPORAL ADVENTURE FEATURES AND TIMED RESEARCH

• During the event, Pokémon GO will introduce exclusive event bonuses, including:
• The ability for Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia to temporarily slow or distort time during battles.
• Increased spawn rates for select time-travel-themed Pokémon in the wild.
• Event-exclusive Field Research tasks and a Special Timed Research path that grants access to encounters and rewards related to Dialga and Palkia.

TIME-THEMED WILD ENCOUNTERS AND RAIDS

Alongside the Legendary raids, Trainers will encounter time-based Pokémon in the wild such as Dratini, Rhyhorn, Beldum, and more. Raid battles will also feature other temporal Pokémon, aligning with the theme of space and time manipulation.

EXCLUSIVE EVENT ITEMS AND BONUSES POKÉMON GO

PokéStops will yield event-themed gifts, and new avatar items inspired by Sinnoh region characters will be available in the in-game shop. Bonus items and time-limited buffs, such as additional XP and increased duration of Incense and Lure Modules, will also be active during the event window.

This limited-time event will run globally across all regions of Pokémon GO from August 16 to August 20, 2025. Trainers are encouraged to prepare in advance and coordinate with local communities to maximize their Ultra Unlock experience.
