Gangstar Mirage City has officially launched across the Middle East and North Africa, including the UAE. Gameloft and publisher Level Infinite racked up more than 30 million pre-registrations before launch. The game is now live on iOS and Android in several regions worldwide. A World That Reacts, and Plenty of Ways to Cause Trouble

What sets Mirage City apart is how it mixes structured story missions with things that happen organically. The city reacts to how you play. Your choices shift the quests. Random street encounters keep things from feeling scripted. Director’s Mode lets players record custom moments and share them, almost like making mini movies out of a playthrough.

Multiplayer is where a lot of the variety lives. Co-op heists sit alongside Fight of the Bites, a restaurant-themed gang war. Vehicle-focused modes include Taxi Takeover and Treasure Rush. Big Head Mode brings a survival-style showdown, and Orarra Fight offers a battle royale spin. Whether someone wants to squad up and play tactically or cause chaos solo, there’s a mode for it.

Progress goes beyond finishing missions. Players expand their empire by taking over city districts, and a net worth system tracks their operation’s success. More territory and income unlock better gear, vehicles, and perks. On the combat and driving side, a Digital Disruptor lets players hijack nearby vehicles remotely. A Sentry System and Siege Plating help players survive intense firefights and chases.

A Franchise That’s Been Around Longer Than You Might Think

Gangstar isn’t a new name. The series started back in 2006, and it’s credited with bringing open-world crime gameplay to mobile phones before that became the norm. Over the years, the franchise has grown into more than eight major titles set in cities like Los Angeles, Miami, Rio, Las Vegas, and New Orleans. Along the way, it built up a loyal fanbase.

Mirage City is easily the most ambitious entry in the series so far. It takes the crime-empire foundation the franchise is known for and wraps it in modern live-service features designed to keep players coming back long after launch week.

Launch Rewards and Creator Perks

Players who pre-registered before August 19 are already reaping the rewards. A Global Vault Heist event is handing out in-game currency, vehicle upgrade vouchers, and a vehicle pack. Players can claim these now through in-game mail. Players who recruited three friends into a four-person crew during pre-registration earn extra vouchers. Members of winning MENA factions score a bonus currency drop on top. Gameloft also released an introduction video. Producer Don Phil walks new players through the game’s systems in it. Word has it there’s a hidden bonus code tucked inside too, so pay close attention.

Gameloft rounded out the launch with a Creator Program. It offers a shared cash pool, in-game currency, and extra promotion for creators making content around the game. A month-long livestream event called “All Gangstar Show” is coming soon. Creators will compete in it for the title of top boss in the city. Expect more details on both soon at the official website.
