Cushions to Change Minecraft Forever
Minecraft will release a new update near the end of the year with many features. Cushions stand out as the star feature of them all. Players are already exploring cushions’ potential. They’re using them for fast travel, LED lights, and more!
Fast Travel
Since Minecraft’s beginning, minecarts have been the top way to travel. Cushion travel is now replacing that old-fashioned method. Cushion travel is not only faster but also uses fewer materials. Players no longer need rails, which saves iron, redstone, and gold. Players can now save these valuable materials for other projects. Cushions only need three wool blocks of the same color and a fence or chain to stand on! Cushion travel also lets players pass through blocks. This feature helps players build secret bases or reach mining strips faster.
LED Lights
Dance floors, moving videos, and colorful lights are now possible within Minecraft. Players discovered a new trick using cushions and lamps. First, place a cushion on a block. Then break that block and immediately replace it with a lamp. The cushion turns black and appears colorless until lit again. The block it was originally placed on determines the cushion’s color. This trick turns the original 16 colors into 176 possible colors! Players have used this technique to build LED dance floors. They’ve also created impressive videos using this method. Players have recreated famous movies, popular internet memes, and even Minecraft running inside Minecraft.
What Else?
Cushions don’t stop at roads, LED lights, or fast travel either. Players invented cake bases as a cute way to frost cakes in different colors. Players also use cushions to hide secret base entrances. They stuff cushions between blocks under trees, behind walls, or in mountains and caves. This makes entrances practically invisible. Then, of course, there’s the obvious use: seating areas. Players use cushions for diners, sofas, dining tables, and more. This lets them create stylish, sit-able interiors!
